RobertRund2We are delighted to welcome Robert Rund to our team as Regional Director of Development. Robert says, “I am aware that there are many people who love barbershop and who have a passion for Harmony Foundation. It is clear to me that behind the fellowship and performance opportunities that are the fruit of its labors, there is much work to be done to ensure the future of its programs and that of the Barbershop Harmony Society. It is also clear to me that this work requires skilled development professionals.”

Robert is not only one of those professionals but also someone with a good sense of the big picture. He has enjoyed a stellar career in arts management and financial development to sustain enterprise — experience and perspective that will serve both the Society and the Foundation well as we point forward with bold anticipation of our future.

Having been a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society since age seven as a singer, director and arranger, he has been a direct beneficiary of the organization. As a President’s Council member, he embodies the role and mission of the Foundation.

Robert has maintained a rich career leading arts organizations. He has served as Associate Publisher of Music America Worldwide, Booking and Artist Manager with IMG Artists, Founding Executive Director of Community Arts Partnership at Peddie School (CAPPS), President and Head of School of The American Boychoir School, Chief Administrator of the Waldorf School of Princeton, and Executive Director of the Savannah Philharmonic.

He earned a Master of Arts in Arts Administration from Goucher College, was one of 50 international fellows at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business’ Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders in the Arts, and earned a Bachelor of Music from the reputable Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey.

Robert will spend June and July in the Nashville office and then, together with his partner, Alison and dog, Maia, will move to California full-time to live and work within his region.
